@ 9.30pm, I left my deadline to go on the trip. It was with more burden that I left but well, I just needed to go.

We set off at 11.30pm and I thought we could go through the custom without a hassle but it was not so. We literally waited for 3 hours to clear! I have never waited that long!

With routes of various difficulties, the entire group will engaged in this exciting activity.
1900hrs Dinner @ own expense
1930hrs Shopping at Ipoh
2100hrs Check-in @ YMCA

We reached Gopeng Town at 10am instead and we immediately went straight into whitewater rafting. Although the waters was rather calm, it was made fun because of the enthusiasm exhibited by the guides.

We proceeded for Pinnacle Adventure after buffet lunch. It was really an adventure because it was in the midst of the forest, so unlike those that I attempted back in Singapore. The owner then asked me to go the more challenging ones and why not?

I was scared. My legs were shaking because it was so high up. Each step, I took with great care. At one obstacle, I stopped and shouted, "How do I do this?"

"Just grab the rope and swing like you did when you were young!"

My reply? "I didn't do all these in my childhood!"

Dang! WHat the heck! I just got to do it. No turning back. And I did it. Just swing! Simple!

Through the course, I realised that there is really a lot of things we can achieve. If only we are not limited by our own fears.

D03 GOPENG/GUA TEMPURONG/SINGAPORE
0630hrs Rise and Shine
0730hrs Breakfast @ own expense
0830hrs Check out at YMCA. Proceed to Gua Tempurong

Half of this massive cave system has been developed as a tourist cave with a concrete walkway and lights. The other half has been left undeveloped and it is an adventure-caving route. Participants will get to explore many huge caverns and some tight squeezes. Expect to crawl in the dark and to get completely wet as you squeeze through the underground river passage.

Our trip went exactly as planned. Peggy was not able to follow the usual pace and we had to be at the last. But am proud of her that she did not give up! She went slowly up the slope (the terrain is rather difficult for a novice) and eventually reached the summit at 1030.

The leader was with her all the way. Good job, Gramae! I stayed with Peggy too, taking my own sweet time and carrying her backpack.

The trip was good. The weather was wonderful.

LOnged to go for more!
